Why us?

We are a small business of two bakers which means you get the personal touch, everything is baked by the people you discuss your order with! We make as much as possible by hand, not just the cakes, but the lemon curd, nut brittle, and salted caramel. We try to work with what is available seasonally and to use local suppliers when at all possible. We care about our business and that means we care about your cake!

We love working with the seasons and also try our best to put money back into the local economy by buying from other small local businesses where possible. Here are a few local businesses we use:

Whiteleys Farm - the best forced rhubarb in spring, vegetables for our bagel fillings during the rest of the year

Ian Taylor Free Range Eggs

Nell's Urban Greens - the freshest tastiest micro greens for our pop ups

Branch Out by Anna Bell- stunning locally grown flowers for our cake decorations

Ollies Honey Company - honey from bees kept in Saltaire when we can get our hands on the stuff!

Spice and Green - spice mixes by the excellent Melanie Hadida in Chapel Allerton

Echelon Coffee Roaster - fantastic coffees roasted here in Leeds by our pop-up pal, Ben

We also do swaps with local residents and allotment holders during the summer and autumn fruit season. If you have a glut of fruit get in touch!
